Videographers operate motion picture and video cameras and related equipment to record news, live events, films, videos, and television broadcasts. They meet with the director and other camera crew members to determine filming sequences, camera movements, and picture composition.
They set up camera equipment, attach lenses, filters, and film magazines to cameras and adjusting focus, exposure, and lighting. Videographers are responsible for the correct labeling and recording of videotapes, films, and negatives.
Videographers are employed by television networks and stations, motion picture and video production companies, and in-house communications facilities of large corporations.
